Earley: "If It Doesn't Challenge You, It Doesn't Change You"

Earley: "If It Doesn't Challenge You, It Doesn't Change You"

CHARLOTTE, NC - He’s undefeated and gaining more confidence with each fight, but LaVonte “The World-Class Gentleman” Earley knows there’s still more work that needs to be done in order to become one of the most feared fighters in the world.

Earley, who last fought in November, scoring a unanimous decision over Lashawn Alcocks, said that he’s tying up some loose ends as he prepares to fight at “Boxing Royalty” in March.

The card will feature several up-and-coming Charlotte fighters who are starting to create a significant buzz around the Queen City.

“There’s a couple of things that I’ve added to my camp since my last fight,” Earley said. “The biggest change is my mindset.”

Earley won’t be making any drastic changes to the way he fights but he will be looking to exert a more aggressive style of boxing for this upcoming fight.

“I’m going to come out and attack my opponent more so than in my last fight,” Earley said. “I wouldn’t say that I played it safe against Alcocks, but I would say that I stayed on the outside more and that I boxed a little bit more to secure the win.”

Earley (7-0) has experienced tremendous success in the ring, a testament to who he surrounds himself with outside of it.

His mother, LaVonda “The Promoter” Earley, founded Las Vegas Grand Boxing Promotions following her son’s blistering start to his boxing career.

“Vegas Grand Boxing is building a buzz in this city,” LaVonte said.” The marketing and presentation are un-matched.”

The Earley’s run their organization on the premise that each fighter getting a fair shot to build their own image.

“That’s why we’re so keen on marketing each fighter as its own entity,” LaVonte said. “These fighters have lives, they have families, they have people that look up to them for being fighters. Why not give them the same platform as the guy that’s fighting for a world title?”
