Keatts Gets Big Raise From NC State
North Carolina State basketball coach Kevin Keatts has been given a new contract, the university announced Friday.
The contract will run through the 2023-24 season and pay him $2.7 million per year — an increase of $400,000 from his previous salary, according to the Associated Press.
Keatts led the Wolfpack to the NCAA Tournament last season which triggered a one-year rollover clause in his original six-year deal that he signed when he was hired in March of 2017.
“My family and I are grateful to Chancellor (Randy) Woodson and Debbie Yow for their commitment and for the opportunity to build on the foundation we’ve established here at N.C. State,” Keatts said in a statement. “The N.C. State community has been so welcoming. I’m excited about what we’re building and look forward to leading this program for many years to come.”
The Wolfpack (8-1) face Penn State on Saturday in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
