"If Anyone Wants To Bet Pittsburgh, Play Them!"
CHARLOTTE -- If you were gutsy enough to bet money on Pittsburgh beating Clemson in tonight's Dr. Pepper ACC Championship game at Bank of America Stadium, you're in the minority.
Derek Wilkinson is a supervisor at the Westgate SuperBook. He said that nobody has placed any major bets on the game. He told actionnetwork.com, earlier this week, that he's convinced Clemson will cruise to victory tonight.
“This game is being played in Clemson’s backyard and Pittsburgh looked pretty bad last week against Miami. I think that line will either stay at 27.5 or possible go a little higher. I also think Clemson is going to cover it fairly easily.”
Clemson is just two years removed from winning a national title, a game many of its current players played in.
“If anyone would like to bet the Panthers, I invite them to come down and play them, please!” said Jason Simbal, vice president of risk management at CG Technology.
